A transfer board assists a wheelchair user or a caregiver to make safe transfers from a wheelchair to a car, bed or other seated surface. The transfer board must be strong and tapered on both ends to allow easy insertion between the user and the seated surface. The kidney shape “bends” around obstacles like a rear wheel.
